fashionmade:

Don’t you like the song? I can’t get over it! What a great resume of the whole “Fashion by Feelings” social media campaign.
“Find Fashion by Feelings”, the very first global social media campaign between the Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) and The Woolmark Company, has created an highly active and engaged community for wool lovers. Fashionistas are invited to upload a picture of themselves wearing at least one piece of wool clothing which best describes any of the featuring feelings.
As we are trading our wool sweaters for shorts, let’s find your best shot and upload it for last time of the year!

My PR 2.0 class is, at the most basic level, a crash course in social media. This week, the group is finalizing the strategy and execution of Tumblr communities (similar to what I’ve done with The StratCommers).

Here, Josi Pilon spotlights a wool awareness campaign for her Tumblr community called Fashionmade, focused on reporting the best social media campaigns for prestigious fashion houses.

Three observations:

1.  Excellent title
2.  Clear audience/community target
3.  Great understading of a tight, focused content/topic angle

And that song is too catchy for its own good!

I'm Eric Chandler. My online Strategic Communications courses are just as good as -- if not better than -- my live classes. Take either at NYU's School of Continuing & Professional Studies. I dare you.
